Tyler Andrews is a freelance photojournalist and dynamic leader based in Washington, D.C. Andrews currently holds a certification from Global Journalist Security for Hostile Environment & Emergency First Aid Training—High Risk /Conflict and is available for assignments nationwide. He has also been selected as a photographer for the 2026 Washington Post internship class.
Andrews has nearly five years of experience in the United States Marine Corps, capturing compelling photos, videos, and written reports–in the air, on land, and at sea–that document the core values of the world’s strongest fighting force. 
Since transitioning from active-duty service, Andrews has self-assigned coverage of social activism initiatives, politics, the presence of federal agents and National Guard in Washington, and immigration enforcement in Minneapolis.
